最近は、ORENGE RANGEのYAMATOさんとの対談でPATi PATiの取材に行ってきました！
Lately, I had a conversation with YAMATO from ORANGE RANGE as a coverage for PATi PATi!

ORENGE RANGEさんとは様々な共通点から、私がデビューする前からお世話になっている方々です。
I have many points in common with ORANGE RANGE, These guys have supported me even before my debut.

とてもシャイな方なのと私も人見知りなのでなかなか会話が進まないんじゃないかと心配していましたが、かなりゆるく？楽しい対談になりました！
I was worried of whether the talk would advance naturally, since we are both shy people. I think we kinda managed to?
It became an enjoyable conversation!

それから、タイトルにある八丈島ですが、ある企画でお邪魔してきました。
And then, about “Hachijo Island” mentioned in the title. I went to intrude to certain project.

八丈島は東京から飛行機で50分くらいの島で、ゆったりとした空気感と亜熱帯の気候という事もあってたくさん癒されました♪
Hachijo Island is at about 50 minutes by plane from Tokyo, I felt healded by comfortable atmosphere and climate ♪

何の企画で行ったかはホームページに情報がアップされると思いますので

都内はちょっと外に出ただけでも
あっという間に汗だくになるほどの
猛暑ですが、みなさんはいかがお過ごしでしょうか？？？
In the city, the heat wave is in the level
even if we go outside a bit, we will be bathing in sweat.

先日はYUI DIARYでも話題になっていましたが
ある撮影をしました！

さてさて、今日は『fight』のMVに関しての
打ち合わせをしました。
Okay. Today we had a meeting
to plan the Music Video for “fight”

今回のMV監督は、先日公開されていた
大ヒット映画「僕らがいた」も大成功をおさめた名監督！
This time’s director is the one who achieved big success
with the premiere of it’s film “Bokura ga Ita” a couple of days ago!

そして実は
元ソニー･ミュージックレコーズスタッフだった
And, the true is, he was also a staff member from Sony Music Records.

じゃーん！

実はYUIとはデビュー前つながりがある
コアなスタッフなのです。すごい！！！！

こんにち晴れ
Its fine/sunny today.


梅雨入りのようですね。
It seems to be the beginning of the rainy season.

でもお昼は晴れていたりで、夏が来たような感じがしてテンションが上がります♪
But the sky is clear during noon giving you the feeling that summer has come, and the excitement rises.

この気温差、ビシビシ身体にムチを打ってきますね。
A rod is being hit with this temperature difference to the body severely.

本当に風邪ひきやすそうなので気をつけてくださいね。
It seems really easy to pull at a cold, so please be careful.

先日、うどん屋さんに入ったのですが、なぜか店員さんにずっと英語で話し掛けられました。
I entered a noodles shop the other day. For some reason, the asistant would speak to you in English all the time.

英語が出来ない私は、困り果て「Thank you very much」とそれらしく発音しながら言うので精一杯でした。
Since I who cannot speak English was perplexed and said “Thank you very much”, trying my hardest to get the pronunciation right.

こんなつぶやきを聞いてくれて「Thank you very マッチョ」！
But it came out as a murmur, like “Thank you very macho”!

あっ「マッチ」！
I mean “much”!

最近栗ばっかり食べてます。
Probably because I was eating chestnuts recently while saying it.

日本語がヘンですね。
It’s weird in Japanese huh.

皆さん、お元気ですか？
Everyone, how are you doing?

最近は寒かったり暑かったり、体調管理がなかなか難しい季節ですね。
Recently, it’s been getting cold and then warm; it’s a season where it’s hard to properly take care of your health huh.

5月も中旬ですが、五月病にはなっていないですか？
It’s already the 3rd week of May, but I hope none of you have the May blues?
(“May blues” are blues that are felt by new students and workers in Japan who have just started work/school again in April.)

この気温差だと体力も精神力も疲労すると思います。
With all the differences in temperature I think it must be both physically and mentally tiring.

たまに自分にご褒美をあげてくださいね！
Please give yourselves a treat every once in a while!

話は変わりますが、先日福島に行ってきました。
I’m changing the topic now, but the other day, I went to Fukushima.

NHKの番組の撮影で、中学生の合唱を見に行くという内容です。
It was for the shooting of an NHK TV program, and I was to go see a middle school choir.

突然の訪問にも関わらず、中学校の合唱部の皆さん、先生方、優しく迎えてくださって本当に嬉しかったな♪
Despite the fact that it was an unexpected visit, everyone in the middle school choir club and the teachers all welcomed us nicely, which made me very happy♪

合唱団の皆さんの素敵な歌声をチェックしていただけたらと思います！
It’d be really nice if you would check out the wonderful singing voices of all the members in the chorus group.

Before I knew it, many of my secrets ended up getting exposed in the STAFF DIARY! lol

まさか知恵の輪のカンニングが…
I never thought that me cheating on the puzzle rings would…

シュミレーションゴルフが…
or that the simulation golf would…

なんて、そんな事もありますよね。
But things like that happen once in a while too right?

人間だもの。
I mean, I am human.

Ah… those wonderful words from Mitsuo-san♪
(「人間だもの」 (Ningen da Mono) is a famous book by Sugita Mitsuo)

冗談はさておき、もうそろそろ桜が散り始めますね！
All joking aside, soon the cherry blossoms will start falling!

満開も好きだけど、散り始めの花びらが舞う感じも好きだなぁ。
I like seeing them in full bloom, but I like the fluttering feeling that the petals give off when they fall too.

散歩には良い季節になってきてテンション上がります♪
It’s become such a nice season for taking walks, so my excitement level is going up♪

最近は、NHKの「Rの法則」という番組の収録に行ってきましたよ！
Recently, I went to the recording of the NHK program “R no Housoku” (Rule of R)!

たくさん質問が届いていて嬉しかったな。
送ってくれた方、ありがとう！！
I was very happy that a lot of questions came in.

東京では、桜も昨日の雨で散ってしまって、少し切なくもありますが、、、
In Tokyo, the cherry blossoms have all fallen due to yesterday’s rain, so it’s a little sad, but…

桜色に染まった道も何だか風情があって素敵ですね。
the streets that are dyed with the color of cherry blossoms have this elegant feeling, and it’s rather wonderful isn’t it.

「散りゆくからこそ　美しい」　 by 『fight』
“Because it is fleeting, it’s beautiful” by “fight”
(散りゆく (chiri yuku) means to fall off in terms of flowers and leaves, but to fade away/disappear in general)

さてさて、INFORMATIONでも発表させていただきましたが、

「みんなのうた」でのOAが決定しました！！
appearance on the show “Minna no Uta” (Everyone’s Song) has been confirmed!!

8～9月のOAなので、まだ少し先ですが、ぜひぜひ楽しみにしていて下さいね。
It’s on the air from August to September, so it’s still a little while away, but by all means, please look forward to it.

私たちスタッフ、そしてYUIも「みんなのうた」は小さい頃、よく観ていた番組なので、とても嬉しく楽しみです！
“Minna no Uta” is a show that we staff, as well as YUI, watched a lot when we were little, so we’re very happily looking forward to it!

今日で25歳を迎えました！
And with today, I’m entering the 25th year of my life!

あっという間ですね(>_<)
It’s gone by so fast (>_<)

デビューが17歳でもう25歳！
I was 17 years old when I debuted, and I’m already 25 now!

8年目という事で、さらに気合いを！と言いたい所ですがやっぱりマイペースにいきたいな(笑)とも思っています。
“Since it’ll be my 8th year, I’ll put even more effort into it!” or so I’d like to say, but as I expected, I think I want to continue at my own pace too lol.

皆さんからの誕生日メッセージ本当に嬉しいです♪
I’m really happy with all of the birthday messages from everyone♪

一人一人誕生日の日はぜひお祝いしたい所ですが、なかなか難しそうですね(>_<)
I would certainly like to celebrate each and every one of your birthdays, but that seems rather difficult to do (>_<)

でも毎日誰かの誕生日で大切な日なんだと思い、そんな素敵な日々を大切に生きたいと思います。
But if I consider that every day is someone’s birthday, an important day, I’d like to treasure those wonderful days as I live them.

自分の誕生日、たくさんメッセージをいただいてテンションが上がっているのに、なぜか風邪をひいて病院に向かっています。笑
Even though it’s my own birthday and my excitement level was raised by all the messages I received, for some reason I caught a cold and am heading toward the hospital. lol
(Don’t panic. Japanese people head toward the hospital/doctor’s office for even the tiniest bit of a cold so as to make sure that if they do catch something serious, they won’t pass it on to others (normally as long as it seems like they have a fever, they’ll head to the hospital. The fact that there’s a lol after her statement means that she’s probably only going there because it is a little bit more serious than the common cold.)

今日は3月11日ですね。
Today is 11th March

皆さんは何をしていましたか？
What was everyone doing?

私は仙台に行ってきました。
I went to Sendai.

「復興テレビ　みんなのチカラ3.11」という番組で1曲歌わさせていただきました。
I was allowed to perform one song on a program called “Revival TV – Everyone’s strength 3.11”

会場にも東北の方々がたくさん集まって下さり、皆と一緒に黙祷しましたよ。
A lot of people from the North-East region gathered at the venue and together we held a moment of silence (silent prayer).

色んな想いがありますが、これからも明るく前向きに活動していけたらと思います。
A lot of thoughts came to mind, but from now on as well, to move forward in a positive manner.

皆さんにとっても笑顔が絶えない日々になりますように。
For everyone, we hope to bring a constant smile to their faces.

それにしても、喜久福の生クリーム大福美味しいですね。
Nevertheless, “Kikufuku” (brand of Daifuku (small round mochi)) fresh cream was delicious.

仙台でとてもお世話になっている、マーチンさんとワカちゃん(仙台のイベンターさん)が差し入れしてくれました！
I am very indebted to the people of Sendai, especially Mr. Martin and Mr. Waka (Sendai’s event organiser).

こんにちは！
皆さん思い思いのバレンタインを過ごしたようですね☆
Hello!
Everybody had a valentine’s day as you pleased right?

YUIからのエアーチョコレートも沢山の方に届いたよう
なによりです♪♪
I’m so happy that many you caught YUI’s air chocolate ♪♪
(Air choco is like imaginary chocolate xD )

さて、振り返って第5弾！！
ここからは12月25日「とりぎん文化会館　梨花ホール」
から
クリスマス当日は、、、、
なんとなんと
ホワイトクリスマスになりました☆☆☆
Okay, Looking back, episode 5!!
From now its “Torkin Bunkakaikan, Rinka Hall” on Dec. 25th
The appointed day, turned impressively into a White Christmas ☆☆☆

プレゼント交換会も行い。
メンバー、スタッフ入り交じって
思い思いのプレゼントを交換しました。
ライブもジングルベルを合唱して、
We exchanged presents.
Band members and staff mingled together
exchanged presents as they pleased.
They also sang Jingle Bells in a chorus.

ホワイトクリスマス公演となりました☆
雪にテンションが上がって、
YUI、メンバー、スタッフ入り乱れての
大雪合戦に突入！！
大人達が本気で遊ぶとキケンですw
It became a White Christmas Performance ☆
the excitement rised in the snow
YUI, the band and staff were jumbled together
breaking into a big snow fight!!
When adults play too serious it can be dangerous lol

12月27日は「松山市民文化会館」
大雪のため急遽バス移動に変更！
メンバー、クルー全員での移動は
さながら遠足のような愉快な時間になりました。
ライブも2011年ラスト！！
YUIもメンバーも全力で楽しんでいたのが印象的でした☆
On December 27th Matsuyama Citizen’s Cultural Meeting Hall
Because of the heavy snow there was a sudden change onto a bus!
During the journey the members and all the crew members
were in a happy mood just like in an excursion.
The Live was the last of 2011!!
YUI and the members giving their all having fun was very impressionable☆

クルージング2011年はここで終了！！
次回は年明け旭川から！
CRUISING in 2011 ends here!!
Next time starting from the New Year Asahikawa!
